Racial injustice: The need to speak up

Racism is prejudice, discrimination or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that ones own race is superior. It is the inability or refusal to recognise the rights, needs, dignify, or value of people of particular races.

He is the maestro and His love is a sweet melody to our ears.

All of creation reveals the nature of the Creator. He is power. He is mighty. He is sovereign over all. His lovingkindness is evident to see.

Let us be authentic Christians, who are not just preachers of the Word but also put in practice the very things we speak about.

‘Unforgivable’ One

Where sin abounds, His Grace abounds much more. There is no sin too great that our Father cannot forgive.
~A poem of forgiveness and restoration.

Letting go of the shame of my past

Many of us are still being oppressed by our past: what we did and who we once were. Guilt and shame have held us captive and kept us from moving forward. Yesterday’s happenings infiltrating the today’s and robbing us of our tomorrows; already forgiven by Him yet still walking like we’re condemned. The enemy’s lies…

Baptism 🕊️

~A public declaration of my faith in, and commitment to Jesus Christ.
Baptism is not just the mere immersion of oneself in water but it is the repentance of our sins, the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

Called to love: Without Love, We are Nothing

To love one another is a commandment. It is the second greatest commandment of all; the first being Love your God with all your heart, with all your might and with all your soul. We are called to extend the love and grace that God has shown to us to others, even to those we deem as undeserving. The ability to love others, even those who hurt us is through greater intimacy with the Father.

A Letter of Gratitude to the Father: for loving me, for protecting me, For His never ending blessings, His mercies and Grace.

Friendship: Worldly and Godly friendships

Friendships can build you up or tear you down, depending on the person and whether they are following God. We have to be wise to ensure that we keep wicked ways at arm’s length and distance those friendships encouraging a departure from righteous ways. Wisdom stands firm with those who choose friends with caution. Be sure to ask yourself: does this friendship draw you closer to the Father? Does it sharpen me as a Christian?

Proverbs 12:26

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God- Psalm 42:1

Healing hands: My knee injury

Every Christian has the ability to do many wonders. The difference is having faith in Jesus Christ to do so. When we have true faith (trust and have confidence in the power of God), we are able to do incalculable wonders in His Name.

The healing of my knee is a testimony of this.

The ‘raving’ Christian: Why I chose to stop

In my Christian walk, I have had to unlearn many habits from my past, one being raving/clubbing and drinking (including pre drinks). We are set apart, to live a life that is holy and pleasing to God. We cannot afford to compromise our identity for the sake of the world

Fighting with my Reflection: Insecurity to Completeness in Christ

‘Fighting with my reflection: Insecurity to Completeness in Christ’ is the 2nd part of my depression story. It talks about how God saved me from that broken state to becoming whole through Christ. I learnt to love myself like God does. I learnt to view myself how God views me.I had to retrain my mind. Everything that I once saw in myself was a lie. I chose to live in Truth.
